Essential Oil Uses: Different Methods of Application and Safety

For thousands of years essential oils have been used medicinally in manydifferent ways. There are hundreds of different essential oils, each offering a unique set of benefits to support health and wellness. Essential oils have so many uses because of the complexity and variety of their chemical composition.

Many essential oils share similar naturalchemical ingredients or constituents. Some oils may even have a nearly identical chemical composition. However, even very similar oils show subtle differences between their major and especially their minor constituents. Essential oil uses commonly include support for physical, emotional and psychological wellness. For example, anise oil can relieve muscle aches and respiratory problems.
